KARACHI, July 22: Opener Muhammad Fahim hit a patient century but Zone-II still conceded slender two-run lead against Zone-V on day two of their three-day A.K. Majeed memorial under-19 cricket tournament semifinal against Zone-I at Landhi Gymkhana ground on Friday. Replying to Zone-V’s first innings total of 267, Zone-II were bowled out for 265 on the penultimate ball of 90th over.

By the close of play, Zone-V reached 52 for the loss of one wicket in their second innings.

Promising left handed Fahim went after making 108 in 282 minutes and it contained six boundaries. Fahim in company with Ali Asad put on 144 runs for the first wicket. Asad made 67 with four boundaries.

Spinners Tufail Ahmed and Tariq Murad shared six wickets.
