TAXILA: An 11-year-old boy was molested by a prayer leader in Ghakkar village in Bhattar police area on Friday.
The victim’s father told the police that his son was feeling unwell when he returned from the village mosque where he went to learn the Quran. When his mother asked him, the boy started weeping and told her that the prayer leader had sexually assaulted him.
The boy was taken to a hospital where medical examination confirmed molestation.
ASI Mohammad Sajjad said a case had been registered against the prayer leader and he had been arrested. During interrogation, the suspect had confessed to assaulting the boy.
