SWABI: Two persons were killed and three others seriously injured in a road accident on Swabi-Mardan Road here on Sunday, said police.

Registering FIR, Asif Khan told Kalu Khan police station officials that his brother, Irfan Khan and brother-in-law, Fazal Wahid, were returning home on bike from the district headquarters when they were hit by a speeding car near Malikabad area.

He said the car driver failed to control the vehicle, as a result, his brother and brother-in-law were killed on the spot.

Car driver, Niaz Bahadar and his colleagues, Naveed Khan and Ameer Shah were seriously injured and were shifted to Razaar tehsil headquarters hospital. However, due to their serious condition they were referred to Mardan.
