I sat the general aptitude test (GAT) subject exam on Feb 17. The result was announced on the NTS website. However, the hard copy of my result has still not reached me.

When I approached the National Testing Services on their helpline, I was asked to wait for a couple of weeks as the results were despatched in batches.

I was assured that it would not take more than three weeks. To cut a long story short, I waited to no avail.

After four weeks, I complained again and this time the helpline gave me an email address on which I was asked to send the details of my candidature so that they could send me my result. I did this and waited another week before calling the helpline.

This time I was told that the result had been despatched and I was given a tracking number of the parcel they had despatched through Pakistan Post.

I searched for the tracking number, only to learn that it had been lying with Gulshan-i-Iqbal EP DO.

I called the Pakistan Post helpline and enquired about the parcel and they lodged a complaint.

I called again after a week and enquired about the status on which they told me that the matter had been investigated and it was found that the result had been delivered. God knows who they handed my result card but it was definitely not me.

They reopened my complaint on my refuting their claim of delivery. Perhaps the post office mandarins are unaware that their website shows: “Delivered at delivery office Gulshan-i-Iqbal EP DO to Addressee”.

What a sorry state of affairs at both NTS and Pakistan Post! Meanwhile, if the concerned officials could look into the matter and send me my result card using a private courier service I would be grateful.
