THIS is apropos the letter ‘Sindh textbooks’ (May 4). Not only the chapter contents but contents on the English sentence structure and the writing style are old, dull and uninteresting.
Moreover, SSC and HSC teachers, who have been teaching the same books for the last several decades, are not proficient in English and cannot help students improve theirs who are unable to speak and write basic English. The Sindh government should modernise the curriculum.
