HYDERABAD, July 17: The Crime Investigation Department, Hyderabad, claimed to have arrested an alleged accomplice of terrorists involved in recent blasts targeting power transmission lines.

CID DSP Hyder Bux Khoso said Nazeer Ahmed, son of Allah Wadhayo, a resident of Punjab city of Multan, was arrested near Jamshoro society.

He said the information regarding his arrival in Jamshoro through a bus was provided by CID DIG Javed Bukhari.

He was carrying three Kalashnikovs, nine magazine and 180 live bullets which were concealed in beddings.

The CID Hyderabad lodged a case against him under section 13-D.

The DSP said the accused had made some disclosures regarding his alleged links with terrorists.

He was in contact with the terrorists who allegedly belonged to some nationalist organizations, the DSP added.

The DSP said the accused had been supplying explosives and weapons for the last two years.

He said the Multan police was informed about the arrest to seek details regarding his alleged criminal activities.
