DERA MURAD JAMALI: Three labourers were gunned down and another suffered injuries in the Manjoshori area of Nasirabad district on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Goth Nazeer Ahmed Manjo when armed men opened fire on the labourers. All the victims belonged to the Tando Adam area of Sindh.

A police official said the gunmen used automatic weapons.

Personnel of police and other law enforcement agencies immediately reached the site and took the dead and the injured to Dera Murad Jamali district hospital.

“The victims died on the spot as they received multiple bullet injuries,” Nasirabad SSP Ifran Bashir said, adding that the incident took place in the early hours of the day.

The injured man was admitted to a hospital.

The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained immediately. However, a senior police officer said that the incident might be a case of targeted killing.

Investigation is in progress.

The victims were identified as Mir Mohammad, Rarar Jee and Jangli.

After completing medico-legal formalities, the bodies were sent to native town of the victims.
