LAHORE, July 16: District Coordination Officer Khalid Sultan on Saturday recommended action under efficiency and discipline rules against the staff of four flood relief sectors and 149 City District Government officials for dereliction of their duties. The DCO recommended disciplinary action against Ichhra Flood Sector incharge, Allama Iqbal Town Officer (regulation) Agha Humayun Hafeez, Nawankot Flood Sector incharge, Allama Iqbal Town Officer Amin Moghal, Gulshan-i-Ravi Flood Sector incharge, Data Ganj Bakhsh Town Officer Mozammal Ishtiaq and Aziz Bhatti Town Flood Sector incharge Town Municipal Officer Rizwan Ahmad for absence from duty for the second time in a fortnight.

The DCO came to the Jinnah Hall at 8am and ordered checking of attendance after the closure of the main gate and other entrances at 8:30am. The names of latecomers were recorded at the gate till 10am. He visited the Flood Control Centre later and checked the attendance of the staff at all the 16 sectors by telephone.
