LAHORE: Uzbekistan’s national hockey team will be arriving here on Saturday on a training tour of Pakistan.

The touring team will play a number of matches against local outfits during the visit which ends on May 10.

“Besides playing the local sides, the touring team will [also] face the Pakistan Hockey Federation development squad,” said a spokesman of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Friday.

During the tour, the Uzbek side will also face local teams in Gojra and Okara.

April 29: Uzbekistan vs Tariq Academy Manga Mandi, Johar Town

April 30: Uzbekistan vs PHF development squad, National Hockey Stadium

May 2: Uzbekistan vs Academies, National Hockey Stadium

May 3: Uzbekistan vs PHF development squad, Inter­national Hockey Stadium Gojra

May 4: Uzbekistan vs Punjab, National Hockey Stadium

May 6: Uzbekistan vs PHF development squad, National Hockey Stadium

May 7: Uzbekistan vs Okara Garrison, Okara Cantt Hockey Stadium

May 9: Uzbekistan vs PHF development squad, National Hockey Stadium.
