MIRPURKHAS, July 13: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpurkhas, announced the results of Secondary School Certificate (general group) examinations on Wednesday. A ceremony was held at the board’s office which was attended by position holders, their parents and teachers.

The percentage of successful candidates remained 76.59.

A total number of 782 candidates had taken the examinations, 599 of whom were declared passed. Three of them obtained A-1 grade, 31 obtained A grade, 222 got B grade, 239 got C grade, 103 got D grade and one candidate got E grade.

Naziran Khatoon, daughter of Shafi Mohammad Rahimoon, of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mirpurkhas, secured the first position by getting 690 marks (81.17 per cent), Sadiq Ali, son of Asghar Ali Pathan, of the Government High School, Kandiari, Sanghar, got the second position by obtaining 680 marks (80 per cent) and Madan Lal, son of Sono Meghwar, of the Government High School, Degan, Umerkot, got the third position by securing 672 marks (79.05 per cent).
