A Press release of the Sukkur Municipal Committee said yesterday [April 18] that revised plans and drawings for alterations and additions have already been prepared by an Italian firm of architects and consultants in collaboration with a similar Pakistan firm and approved by the sponsors.

The terms of credit financing of foreign exchange component of the expenditure on imports of construction material, equipment and furnishings have been negotiated in Italy and approved by the Government of Pakistan ... PIA sources said. The total expenditure, according to the Press release, would be in the region of Rs 20 lakh, of which a sum of Rs 7 lakh has been contributed by the Sukkur Municipal Committee and the balance is to be spent by PIA Hotels Limited.
