ISLAMABAD: A deputy superintendent supervising secondary school certificate (SSC) exam in a school in capital’s rural area was allegedly attacked and injured by a student of ninth class, sources told Dawn.

The incident took place at Islamabad Model School for Boys, Kuri.

On Monday, during English Compulsory Part I (ninth class) paper, he caught a student cheating.

When the DS took the answer sheet from the student, the student attacked the DS with some blunt hard metal.

As a result, the DS suffered an injury to his forehead and started bleeding, the police said, adding the student, however, managed to escape.

Mr Ramzan lodged a complaint with the Banigala police who said a case would be registered after medical examination of the victim.
