LAHORE, July 10: Nobles Club and Pak Heroes Club cruised into the semifinals of the Lahore district Inter-club hockey championship at the National Hockey Stadium No.2 ground on Sunday.

Three goals scored by Suleman led Nobles to a splendid 5-1 victory over the Eaglets Club in the first quarterfinals.

Suleman struck in the 9th, 17th and 37th minute. Zubair Riaz (7th minute), and Usman (39th minute) added one goal each for the winners to seal the fate of the match.

Nadeem scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 42nd minute.

Three goals by Raza guided Pak Heroes to a convincing 8-0 win over Gulberg.

Raza banged home in the 2nd, 17th and the 50th minute.

Fayyaz sounded the board twice scoring in the 34th and the 43rd minute. Imran (13th minute), Naveed Hayat (25th minute) and Mubashar (37th minute) chipped in with a goal each.

Nobles will face Afghan Club in the first semifinals on Monday.
