KHAIRPUR, July 10: Renowned hari and social worker, Zulfiqar Solangi, 35, was electrocuted when he was entangled in a damaged PVC wire in the Ghulam Ali Shah Village, Kingri taluka, on Saturday night.

He was laid to rest on Sunday in his ancestral graveyard, Qambar Shah.

A number of social workers, notables and people of the area attended his funeral.

RESULTS: Results of the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur syndicate election for four seats were declared here on Saturday evening.

Prof Abdul Latif Memon was elected on professor’s seat by obtaining 19 votes, while his rival Nawaz Chand got 14 votes.

For seat of associate professor, Mushtaq Jakhrani secured 10 votes, against 9 votes of Manzoor Isran.—BoC
