ISLAMABAD, July 9: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) under its programme, Foreign Faculty Hiring, has recruited more than 100 foreign professors in various universities of the country during the last one year. According to HEC sources, 105 foreign professors have been recruited so far who are working in various universities and institutions.

The goal of the Faculty Hiring Programme is to hire 300 foreign faculty members each year during a 5-year programme which started in 2004, to fill the vast gap of qualified research academics and PhD supervisors in higher education sector.—APP
