SUKKUR, July 5: Four people of a family, including two women, were killed and 22 others injured in an accident on the National Highway, near Ghotki, on Tuesday. A passenger bus (2515) carrying with 30 passengers belonging to a family, was on its way from Karachi to Muzaffar Garh. When it reached near Ghotki bypass, the bus overturned when its driver tried to overtake another bus.

As a result Ms Rasheeda, Rabia, Sajjad Ahmed and Jehangir were killed on the spot while 22 others got injured.

Those injured include, Tanveer Baloch, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ghulam Shabbir Baloch, Shagufta Bhatti, Muzaffar Khokhar, Riaz Baloch, Ajmal, Mukhtiar, Naseem, Ghulam Haider, Kulsoom, Saima, Allah Wasayo, Shabana, Jamil, Zafar Abbas, Ghulam Shabbir Baloch, Naseer Ahmed Kambeer Ahmed and others who were shifted to Sukkur, Ghotki and Rahim Yar Khan hospitals.

Eyewitnesses said that drivers of both the buses were trying to overtake each other at a high speed due to which the vehicle went out of control and overturned. Later, the bus drivers managed to escape from the scene.
