HYDERABAD: The 89th birth anniversary of Awami Tehreek (AT) founder, scholar and writer Rasool Bux Palijo will be celebrated across Sindh on Thursday (today), according to a statement issued by the Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) here on Wednesday.

The statement said that cake-cutting ceremonies would be held in Karachi and Hyderabad as well as all district and taluka headquarters in the province to mark the occasion.

It said that scholars, lawyers, poets, writers and academicians would pay homage to the veteran nationalist leader’s struggle against dictatorships and efforts for the rights of the poor.
