HYDERABAD: Talented Saad Baloch outplayed Nadir Bachani in the men’s singles semi-final while Mohammad Ali and Hasheesh Kumar entered the under-18 final by defeating their respective rivals

in the Boulevard Mall National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championships at Hyderabad Gymkhana on Thursday.

In the under-14 final, Mahatir Mohammad cruised past M Ali Khattak to win the title in style.

The finals and closing ceremony will be held on Friday at 4:00pm at Hyderabad Gymkhana. Station Commander Brig Hafeezulllah Khan will be the chief guest while Humayun Barkat of Boulevard Mall will be the guest of honour.

U 10 Singles (semifinal): Abubaker Talha (LHR) bt Farjam Sajid 4-1, 4-4; Ameer Mazari bt Dhuraf Das 5-3,4-2,4-2 50-plus Singles (semifinal): Rashid Malik (LHR) bt Aslam Chochan 6-2, rtd

40-plus Doubles (Round Robin) Darbari+ Shabbir Gul bt M Ashrif Farooqui + Mehboob Waheed (LHR) 6-1, 6-1.
