QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Ghulam Sarwar Bugti, a former executive engineer of public health engineering department of the Balochistan government, for his alleged involvement in embezzlement of Rs44.6 million.

NAB officials said on Wednesday that Mr Bugti, in connivance with other employees of the department, embezzled government funds.

The former executive engineer was taken to NAB’s regional office after his arrest. He will be produced before the accountability court by NAB officials for obtaining his physical remand.
