KARACHI: A meeting presided over by director general of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, Maj-Gen Mohammed Saeed on Wednesday reviewed the law and order situation arising out of the recent targeted killings, a Rangers spokesperson said.

The meeting, held at the Rangers headquarters, was attended by the Sindh IGP, Karachi AIG, AIG for CTD/Special Branch, DIGs of East, South and West zones and other senior officials of the police and Rangers.

The meeting reviewed the law and order situation in Karachi, particularly the recent targeted killings.

The participants chalked out a joint strategy to ensure law and order in order to meet the threats of terrorism and targeted killings in an effective way.

Youth killed in Rehri Goth

A youth was killed in the Sukhan area on Wednesday, according to police.

They added that the body of a man, Mohammed Siddique, 21, was recovered from a home in Rehri Goth. There were torture marks on his body.
