FAISALABAD: A motorcyclist was allegedly killed when a kite string allegedly slit his throat on Rehmania Road on Sunday.

Mohammad Waqas (22) of Khalidabad was on his way by a motorcyclist when a stray kite string slit his throat in Rehmania Colony.

The Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the youth to Allied hospital but he could not survive.

The Rescue 1122 earlier said the youth was killed as a string slit his throat. Later, it withdrew the statement and said some ‘unknown’ thing cut his throat.

A police official said it was yet to be determined whether the string hit him or not.

It merits mentioning that the Faisalabad skyline was dotted with kites on Sunday despite a ban on the activity.
