BATTAGRAM: Link roads in Allai tehsil got blocked after heavy snowfall on Thursday, causing the commuters hardships.

The link roads, including Gangwal, Kotkey, Saprona and Torghwand, were blocked and people lost connection with the tehsil headquarters.

In Battagram tehsil, power suspended due to heavy rain and snowfall was yet to be restored.

According to a local resident, Hidayatullah, all the link roads in tehsil Allai were blocked due to heavy snowfall, while tehsil administration could not take any steps for clearing the roads.

He added people were facing problems in taking patients to hospitals.

Shah Abdul Qadir, another local, said that people were facing difficulties in taking edible items to their homes as link roads were blocked. He said people had to use donkeys for transportation of goods.

The locals demanded of the district administration to reopen all the link roads at the earliest.
