LARKANA, July 3: The Chandka Medical College is all set to be declared a post-graduate institution. Speaking at a ceremony of the stipend cheques distribution to post-graduate trainees, CMC Principal Professor Sikandar Ali Shaikh said the plan was finalized in a recent meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad in Karachi.

He said the governor had assured that an announcement to the effect woud be made in a couple of weeks.

He said the CMC was a fit case to be made a medical university by affiliating the People’s Medical College, Sukkur Medical College, proposed dental college in Larkana and Paramedics College, Larkana, with it.

Prof Wazeer Shaikh said 7 years back the idea of giving stipends to postgraduate trainees was conceived and finally candidates doing their FCPS part-II privately had received it.

Professor Sikandar Ali Shaikh, Professor Rafia Baloch and Professor Akbar Solangi handed over cheques to candidates.
