Spider-Man goes to Europe in teaser

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker leaves New York and takes a field trip with classmates to Europe in the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The clip shows Peter wanting to give being Spider-Man a break so that he can enjoy a normal trip with his friends Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya).

Peter’s doesn’t get his wish, however, when he is recruited by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) who needs Spider-Man for a new mission.

The wall-crawler then comes into contact with a giant-being made of water. The villainous Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) arrives onto the scene and begins battling the creature as Peter watches.

Spider-Man: Far From Home, from returning director Jon Watts, is set to arrive in theatres on July 5.


Hunchback of Notre Dame to have live-action Disney remake

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the latest Disney movie to get a live-action remake. The movie is based on the Victor Hugo novel of the same name. The animated adaptation featured the voices of Tom Hulce as Quasimodo, Demi Moore as Esmeralda and Tony Jay as Claude Frollo.

Deadline magazine said Gad, who starred in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, may play Quasimodo in the new version, although no casting has officially been announced.

In addition to Beauty and the Beast, Disney has released live-action remakes of Cinderella and The Jungle Book. The company has new versions of Dumbo, Aladdin, The Lion King and other titles in the works.


Gal Gadot to lend voice in Lego Movie 2

Gal Gadot has been tapped to reprise her role as Wonder Woman, voicing the DC superhero in upcoming animated sequel, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.

Gadot joins a voice cast that includes other DC film stars such as Jason Momoa and Margot Robbie, who will be reprising their roles as Aquaman and Harley Quinn, respectively.

Other Justice League members set to appear in The Lego Movie 2 include Batman (Will Arnett), Superman (Channing Tatum) and Green Lantern (Jonah Hill).

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, is set to arrive in theatres on February 8.
