LAKKI MARWAT: A sixth grade student of a government school has gone missing from his house in Kala Manjiwala locality.

Rafiullah told police that on Jan 7, his son, Zabeehullah, 12, returned home from school as usual.

“He took lunch and went outside, but did not return,” he said, adding they searched for him, but could not find any clue about his whereabouts. The complainant said he had no enmity with anyone.

Meanwhile, police have arrested 14 outlaws and seized arms and ammunition from them during a two-day search and strike operation in rural areas of Tajori and Naurang towns.

The arrested men, and seized weapons and contraband were presented before journalists in Serra Gambila police post on Wednesday. DPO Asif Gohar and other police officials were also present.

Mr Gohar said the operation was launched in remote localities when residents complained during open kutcheries convened by him about presence of proclaimed offenders and their involvement in criminal activities.

The district police chief said the Elite Force commandos backed by armoured personnel carriers also took part in the operation.

The arrested men included Syed Mohammad, Kamran, Gul Nawaz, Mashal, Abrar, Hazratullah, Matiullah, Syed Rehman, Habib Nawaz, Ashraf, Khyal Mohammad, Adul Razzaq, Sahib Zaman and Zargul, he maintained.

The cops recovered four SMGs, three shotguns, four pistols, 306 bullets and 1,050 gram hashish from the arrested men, he claimed.
