KARACHI: Usman Club overcame stiff challenge from Binoria basketball Club to win 46-43 while Omega Club trounced Karachi Youth basketball Club in a lop-sided contest 75-12 in the senior category of the SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam Basketball Tour­nament here at Arambagh court on Thursday night.

In th first match, Usman Club won due to fine play by Hasan Iqbal who scored 17 points while Usman Khwaja scored 15 points and Hamza Khwaja 7.

For the losing side, Ameen was in terrific form and scored 28 points. He was assisted by Abdul (11) and Saiful (4).

In the other match, Omega Club’s main scorers were Ali Murtaza (27), Bilal Jamil (12) and Hamza (10).

For the losing team, Osaid and Daniyal scored four points each.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Bounce Club beat strong Arambagh Club 78-48. Zia Ahmed with 23 points was the main scorer for the winners while Muzammil Hussain (15) and Mohsin Ali and Ammar (10 each) also fared impressively.

For the losing side, Saad Salahuddin (12 points), Hassan Ali and Shariq Suleman (10 each) were the main scorers.
