KHUZDAR: Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo has said his National Party provides voice to all nationalities living in Balochistan and that the party is struggling to protect their rights.

Talking to journalists during his visit to Khuzdar on Tuesday, he said his party had always stood for the rights of small nationalities as they were its priority. Despite facing harsh circumstances the NP had become the voice of the people of Balochistan.

During its last council session, the party had vowed to form a unit that would function throughout the province. “This decision will be implemented in letter and spirit,” he said.

Referring to the recent “steps taken against the PML-N and PPP in the name of accountability”, the former president of the NP said that the accountability process should be transparent and without any political victimisation.

“The NP leadership is ready to face all corruption allegations, but those framing charges on political basis should realise that they can also become victim of this process in future,” he remarked. He said a party’s popularity could not be judged by election results because many elections in the country remained questionable. “The whole country is witness to how the mandate was stolen on July 25, 2018.”
