KARACHI: Patron KBBA Shahida Parveen hands winners and runners-up prizes to captains of Dow Club and Nasir Academy.

KARACHI: Dow Basketball Club beat Nasir Academy 46-40 in the final to win the junior category title at the SSB Cup Quaid-e-Azam basketball tournament here at the Arambagh courts on Thursday night.

For the winners, the main scorers were Abdul Rahman (14 points), Mohammad Bilal and Hassan Ali (10 points each). For the losing side, Faizan Yousuf (10 points), Mohammad Haris (8 points) and Saad Salahuddin (7 points) played well.

Karachi Basketball Association’s Patron Shahida Parveen was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes and trophies among the teams and the players.

Saad was declared as the best player of the tournament while Obaid Hafeez was declared as best shooting guard, Hassan Ali as best forward and Asad Ali as best pointguard.

The SSB Cup senior category tournament began here on Friday.
