LAHORE: The district administration Tuesday demolished the ‘illegal’ structure of the Khokhar Palace in Johar Town amid tight police security.

Various teams of the district government reached the site along with heavy machinery and started operation following the instructions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

An official said that the officials demolished the outer boundaries and a portion of the multi-story Khokhar Palace, the residence of PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar and his brothers.

They also removed the barricades and the walls constructed by the PML-N MNA to block the roads leading to his residence.
