CHITRAL: Two persons were killed and another sustained critical injuries when a mini truck loaded with oak wood plunged into a ravine while coming from the border village of Ursoon to Drosh town here on Tuesday.

The local police identified the dead as driver of the vehicle, Sohail Ahmed, and Imran Khan of Badugal village, while the injured person was shifted to THQ hospital Drosh where he is said to be in precarious condition.

The accident is said to be caused by a technical fault in the vehicle.

INAUGURATED: The offices of the district chapter of Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf were inaugurated in the Mir Market near the PIA Chowk here on Tuesday. Hundreds of party workers and leaders participated.

Wazirzada Kalash, the party’s minority MPA from the Kalash community, inaugurated the offices amid sloganeering by the party workers.

Addressing the workers, he said that PTI had become a formidable political force in the district and it was gaining more and more popularity which could be substantiated from the fact that the senior leaders of different political parties were joining it.
