KARACHI: Captain of Bahria College Karsaz basketball team receives the winners trophy from PTF’s Khalid Jameel Shamsi on Friday.

KARACHI: Bahria College Karsaz overcame stiff challenge from rival SMB Fatima Jinnah College Green to lift the Quaid-e-Azam NBP Inter-Collegiate Girls Basketball title here at the Arambagh courts on Friday.

Bahria College won the closely contested final 29-25 where Anousha (12 points), Rida (8 points) and Aiman (6 points) were the main scorers.

For the losing side, Khizra (10 points), Nazia (6 points) and Anam (5 points) played well.

Later, Pakistan Tennis Federation’s vice president Khalid Jameel Shamsi who was the chief guest in the final distributed the prizes and trophies among the players and the teams.

He also lauded KBBA for holding the tournament in the name of Father of the Nation. Anousha of Bahria College was declared woman of the tournament.
