KARACHI, June 25: A Hero Pakistani Collector’s Card scheme was launched by the Pakistan Sports Trust (PST) on Saturday to promote public-private partnership and raise funds for the development of sports in the country, says a press release.

Under the scheme a series of limited edition collector’s cards bearing photographs and key achievements of leading sports personalities will be available for purchase by collectors for a nominal sum of Rs 30 each, according to a press release. Collectors of the cards will then be able to redeem their cards for gifts by handing over 20 collected cards for each gift.

“The Pakistan Sports Trust is fully committed to hunt for and groom talent in our youth with the objective of creating world champions and gaining international recognition for our country in various sports,” said Lt. General Arif Hasan, president PST at the launch of the scheme. The scheme is expected to raise funds required to undertake various initiatives that the PST is planning.
