Shafiuddin Ashraf

Published December 17, 2018

I FELT very sad on reading the news in your paper (Dec 9) about the death of Shafiuddin Ashraf. He was an asset for his organisation. He had worked all his life for the progress and prosperity of the newspaper industry.

Every year on the occasion of Eid, I would visit Haroon House, where I had spent golden days of my life working from 1983 to 1994, to greet my former colleagues. I always found Mr Ashraf warm and caring about all in the organisation. I must also acknowledge the gestures of Dawn as regards the news of his death, followed by an editorial.
