ISLAMABAD: A man was murdered and two others were injured over a land dispute in the limits of Sihala police on Sunday.

The police said two groups of people exchanged gunfire in Boon Dhamial over possession of the land.

The firing started at 7am and continued for hours during which Asif alias Sher-i-Punjab lost his life and Saleem Satti and Mohammad Adeel were injured.

The body and the injured persons were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).

Meanwhile, the capital police arrested 22 people from different parts of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession.
