Poor service

Published December 15, 2018

I AM an old subscriber of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited for the past three decades (account: 2102992411) and am constantly facing poor internet connectivity problem.

PTCL claims that ‘freedom unlimited (6 MBPS)’ facility is being provided to their subscribers but my experience is very bad and disappointing.

Despite paying a heavy amount towards my monthly bill, I am facing acute connectivity issues every day.

I have lodged countless complaints through their customer complaint number and personally visited the Azizabad Telephone Exchange to resolve this chronic issue. The staff posted at the exchange always says the same thing: “They are working on the optical fiber work and whenever it is completed the problem will be resolved.”

It is pertinent to mention here that PTCL had started the internet packages for students for Rs 900, which are now Rs 2,380 to Rs 2,900 per month (including service tax and all) but their services are getting worse day by day.

My children are in school and universities and due to a slow service and connectivity, their day by day work and assignments are being affected.

I request PTCL to look into the matter and solve my problem as early as possible.
