KARACHI: Reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan further decreased by $242 million to $7.26 billion during the week ended on Dec 7.

The country witnessed some relief after the first tranche of $1bn from Saudi Arabia was received on Nov 9 but now the amount has run out.

Holdings of commercial banks during the week stood at $6.494bn while total liquid reserves of the country amounted to $13.754bn.
