ABBOTTABAD: A 9th grader of FG Boys Public High School, Abbottabad, killed his classmate in the classroom here on Thursday. He was later arrested by the local police.

According to details, soon after start of classes at 8:45am, Haider Ali, a student of 9th class, killed his classmate Usman. The victim boy received bullet shot in the neck and died on way to hospital, according to police sources.

Police said that they had arrested Haider Ali and recovered a pistol from him. They said that they had registered the case under sections 324 and 302. City police have started investigation to know the cause of the incident.

Autopsy was conducted at the district headquarters hospital and the body was later handed over to the family for burial.
