MINGORA: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Swat launched online admission system to facilitate the students of far flung areas.
BISE Swat Chairman Prof Tasbihullah told journalists here on Thursday that the board was providing services to the students of three districts including Shangla, Buner and Swat.
He said that students used to come to the board from far flung areas for their admissions, roll number slips and other services and faced several problems.
“However, we have introduced online admission system so now the students have not to visit the board as they can avail these services on one click of their laptops or mobile phones,” he said.
Prof Tasbihullah said that apart from getting admission and roll numbers for examinations online, people could easily get information and other services too through online inquiry.
He said that the BISE Swat also introduced a one-window operation through which different processes could be done with one step. “Now students or other visitors do not need to go to bank for depositing fees or visit different office to get different certificates or documents but they will get different facilities through one window in the building including depositing examination fee, rechecking marks and getting certificates etc,” he said.
Prof Tasbihullah said that a proper venue was selected for checking papers inside the board building and a modern and scientific methodology was introduced for marking the papers due to which hardworking and bright students were happy.
The students of the remote areas of Swat, Shangla and Buner districts appreciated introduction of online admission system.
“Once I spent a night in a hotel in Mingora because I reached the board in the afternoon and the offices were closed. I had to spend night in a hotel and early next morning rushed to the board and carried out my work,” said Islamzeb, a resident of Buner.
He said that it was not possible to carry out an official work in a day. “It is a good initiative that the board administration started online admission and other services due to which we will not have to travel to Swat,” he said.
