ABBOTTABAD: All illegal structures were removed from both sides of the Karakoram Highway from the Supply Road to Ayub Medical College during an anti-encroachment drive launched in Abbottabad Cantonment on Monday.

Cantonment executive officer along with district police officer, assistant commissioner and officials of police and cantonment board supervised the drive.

The DPO, who was supervising the drive, said police would provide full protection to the cantonment board and TMA officials in removing all illegal structures in the area. However, he said it would be ensured that no injustice was done with anyone.

Cantonment officials have also directed commercial and residential property owners to voluntarily remove all encroachments and clear nullahs and footpaths.
