IT is the government’s responsibility to provide clean and filtered water to its citizens. Unfortunately, in Dera Murad Jamali, there is no clean drinking water.

Moreover, city is blessed with the pat-feeder canal but no government has ever paid serious attention to it or tried to improve the quality of water.

Every third person is suffering from hepatitis or diarrhoea and the numbers keep increasing.

According to a recent research paper this water was deemed harmful for animals – and yet, people still drink it.

I ask the authorities concerned to do something about this.
