QUETTA: Balochistan Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that ensuring good governance and bringing corrupt elements to justice is the prime responsibility of the government.

Speaking at a seminar arranged by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with ‘World Anti-Corruption Day’ on Thursday, he said that elements which looted national wealth had deprived people of their rights through massive corruption.

NAB Balochistan Director General Muhammad Javed Abid and religious scholar Dr Attaur-Rehman and students of various educational institutions participated in the seminar. Justice Yasinzai underlined the need for good governance and respecting merit in all fields.

NAB Balochistan DG Abid Javed while speaking at the seminar said that fortunately the incumbent government had a clear vision against corruption. “With the support of the new government’s anti-corruption vision, the National Accountability Bureau is carrying the mission of corruption-free Pakistan,” he said.

The Balochistan governor and the NAB DG distributed prizes among the top three winners of the anti-corruption debate competition.
