MANSEHRA: The former tehsil municipal administration employees have alleged that 26 low-grade staff members have been appointed by the administration against the rules and merit.

They announced that they would challenge those appointments in the court of law.

“The acting tehsil nazim working hand in glove with the TMA officers have appointed 26 employees, including his son, in violation of the rules and merit,” former TMA employee Mohammad Farooq told reporters at the Mansehra Press Club on Thursday.

Ex-employees to take administration to court on matter

Leading a group of former TMA staff members, Mr Farooq said the ‘illegal’ appointments would be challenged in the court of law.

“Among the appointees are the acting nazim’s son and relatives of officers from other tehsils,” he insisted.

Mr Farooq said under the employees’ son quota, the officers, who were part of the recruiting team, appointed their sons and other relatives ignoring the sons of retired employees.

Another former TMA employee Mohammad Shimraz said the officers responsible for illegal appointments should be taken to task.

He said the sons of many TMA employees, who had retired a decade ago or even before that, were jobless.

He said the police handed over the body to the family after doctors completed medicolegal formalities at the Oghi civil hospital.

The SHO said the suspected killer had been taken into custody.

The police began investigation after registering an FIR.
