KHAR/LAKKI MARWAT: Three people, including a man and his son, were killed when unidentified assailants attacked their car in Nawagai tehsil of Bajaur tribal district, officials and locals told Dawn on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a man was killed by two armed motorcyclists in Tajori town of Lakki Marwat on Tuesday night.

The car was attacked in Darbano area on the Bajaur-Peshawar road late on Tuesday. The car was going to Peshawar from Nawagai.

The locals and officials said all the three persons on board the car were seriously wounded and died while being shifted to a nearby hospital.

Soon after the incident, locals and Levies personnel reached the spot, but the attackers had already escaped the scene.

The locals said the deceased were identified as Amanullah, Saleem Khan and Kifayatullah, adding Saleem and Kifayatullah were running an automobile workshop in Nawagai Bazaar.

The man in Lakki was attacked by the bikers in Manzar Faqeer locality.

Police said Abdul Rahim along with his son Mohammad Khan was going to his fields after evening prayers when two armed men came on a motorbike and sprayed them with bullets.

They said Rahim sustained serious injuries while his son narrowly escaped.

The injured was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Tajazai, where he succumbed to injuries. The attackers escaped the area.

A case was registered against the unidentified attackers on the complaint of Mohammad Khan.
