PRESIDENT Arif Alvi went on twitter to explain why the rupee was falling against the dollar price and told the nation what they needed to do to meet the economic crisis.

In his tweet he said: “I urge Pakistanis to buy products made in Pakistan. In this time of crisis we must try to avoid luxury goods and avoidable imported purchases.”

I agree with his prescription but a question: many products are not manufactured in Pakistan like baby food. What are mothers supposed to do?

The government needs to help those that want to produce goods in the country and assist them to make their products competitive cost-wise and quality wise.
