NAWABSHAH, June 22: The Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union has demanded compensation for employees who were killed or injured while performing their duty.

Ali Jan Rind, zonal joint secretary of the union, Nawabshah division, said that lineman Ghulam Jafar Rajpar died of electrocution while performing his duty in Daur sub-division and many others were injured in various incidents as they were not provided safety equipment.

He demanded compensation for the deceased and injured employees and action against negligent officials.
