LAKKI MARWAT: A man was killed and another sustained bullet injuries in Chuharkhel village here on Friday.

Police said that the shooting incident occurred in Darra Pezu town. They said that Mohabat Khan and Sultan Ayaz were sitting near the village’s mosque when their rivals came and sprayed them with bullets.

As a result, Mohabat Khan died on the spot while Sultan Ayaz was seriously wounded. The police said that the exchange of harsh words led to the incident. They said that separate cases had been registered against Sattar Khan, Sadiq Khan, Umer Khan and Raees Khan on the complaints of Mohammad Illyas, brother Mohabat Khan, and wounded man Sultan Ayaz.

Also on Friday, the police seized 1.7 kg of hashish in Michenkhel locality and arrested an alleged drug trafficker Tanveer and registered a case against him. In a separate raid, Tajori police arrested a proclaimed offender, Saifullah, and recovered an AK assault rifle and a stolen motorbike from him.
