RIYADH, June 21: Saudi security forces shot dead on Tuesday morning two suspected militants who had allegedly killed a policeman in Makkah last week, the Saudi Press Agency reported quoting ministry of interior sources.

The dead men were members of the ‘deviant group’, the report added, a phrase which officials use to describe Al Qaeda supporters.

The two men had allegedly killed on Saturday morning Saudi intelligence Major-General Mubarak al-Sowat while he had been coming out of his residence in Jeddah to go to work.
