LAHORE: A man was allegedly shot dead and his brother injured seriously after their rival group ambushed them in the Nawab Town area on Monday.

A police official said Naeem (29) and his brother Yasin (25) were shot at by Murtaza Dogar and Mustafa Dogar. Both brothers suffered multiple bullet injuries. Naeem died soon while Yasin was being treated for life-threatening injuries. The police official said the attackers fled the crime scene.

The police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the suspects.

Also, a man allegedly shot dead his uncle over a property dispute in Manawan, according to the police.

Suspect Shan exchanged words with Kashif which led to a physical brawl. Later, he opened indiscriminate fire injuring his uncle seriously. Kashif was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

The police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy and lodged a case against the suspect.
