GUJRANWALA: The district administration on Sunday sealed six illegal filling stations, 19 mini-petrol pumps and 21 oil agencies and gas decanting shops in various parts of the district for overcharging and functioning without no objection certificates (NOCs).

Deputy Commissioner Dr Shoaib Tariq Warraich said the district administration had started a crackdown on the illegal filling stations, mini-petrol pumps, oil agencies and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) decanting shops.

A team, under the supervision of Wazirabad Assistant Commissioner Saulat Hayat Wattoo, conducted the raids in Gillwala, Kalewali, Bainka Cheema and Kolowali and sealed six filling stations.

The team, under AC City Atiqueur Rehman, sealed two mini-petrol pumps along Haidri Underpass and Noshehra Sansi.

Kamoke Assistant Commissioner Haria Haider sealed 17 mini-petrol pumps, 21 oil agencies and gas decanting shops. Similar mini-petrol pumps, oil agencies and refilling stations were sealed in Wahndo, Harpoki, Qayyumpur, Darajke and other localities.
