Court extends interim bail of Malik Riaz, 9 others in land-related fraud case

An anti-corruption court (ACC) in Rawalpindi on Saturday extended the interim bail of Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz, as well as nine other suspects, in a case pertaining to land-related fraud and forgery of 1,170 kanal of land belonging to the Punjab Forest Department.
The property tycoon, who initially was not present on Saturday, later appeared before the court.
On October 23, Riaz was granted interim bail by the court after a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against him as well as other government officials in the Rawalpindi Anti Corruption Establishment police station on Oct 5.
In addition to Riaz, the FIR named forest department officials, revenue officers as well as former Punjab Chief Minister's secretary GM Sikandar, who were accused of providing support in the land-related fraud.
On Saturday, the hearing of the case was postponed until Nov 24 on account of Judge Mushtaq Ahmed Tarrar's leave.

Rest assured nothing will happen to Malik Riaz because he is backed by sources that are way above the law.

It is unfortunate that, the Government neither work itself, nor allows others to work. Malik Riaz is doing development works at his own costs and is a shameful example for the Government's apathy and indifference to its responsibilities. That is why Government is trying to fail its bitter rival in real progress.

Remember, Dr Ahsan close friend of Zardari, who was accused of swindling BNs of rupees, made hugely headline, his case is lost in the paperwork of the courts. This is expected of Riaz Malick 's case.

@Adil Jadoon, - let us say Riaz is a corrupt man but at least he has and still providing something good "living" to thousands of citizens communities like Bahria Towns. I have seen these communities which are comparable to any western communities with good living standards. I must say that Mr. Riaz has shown to Pakistanis a standard way of managing, building and maintaining a new way of livings. Bahria towns don't have trash flying on roads. Bottom line he has given something back to the people of Pakistan.
But what about Nawaz Shrief and Zardari? What have they done for any besides their own family? Have you seen Jatti Umrah in Lahore? How an incompetent and dishonest man can have this type of lavish residence? Respectfully
